"Candid or Posed? How to Find Your Wedding Photo Style"

Candid or Posed Wedding Photos is something many couples wonder about and asking me a lot during consultation. Every couple is different, and so is their wedding photography vibe. I love to listen about your ideas and its important that you feel yourself on your Wedding Day.

 What Are Posed Photos?

Posed photos are traditional and directed. They are including flattering angles, control over lighting/background - important for family portraits.

What Are Candid Photos?

Candid photos have natural and emotional style, being in-the-moment. Capturing authentic emotion, storytelling, laughter and freezing that moment.

Which One Is Right for You?

Do you picture joyful, in-the-moment laughter and stolen glances (hello, candid shots)? Or do you love the elegance and timeless feel of beautifully posed portraits? The truth is, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. It all comes down to your personality, your vibe as a couple, and how you want to remember your day. I can help you decide which photo style (or mix of both!) suits you best.

Go for Posed Photos If You...

Love a polished, elegant, editorial vibe and want to control over angles, lighting, and backdrops.

If you Like a little guidance from your photographer and Have dream shots in mind (think: Pinterest-worthy portraits).

If you Feel confident being in front of the camera when directed.

Go for Candid Photos If You...

Prefer natural, unscripted moments and Want to relive the feelings of your day more than the poses.

If you Aren’t super comfortable posing or don’t want to feel “on” all day and would like to capture love laughter, tears, and those little blink-and-you-miss-it moments.

Candid style is perfect if you wish your photos to tell a story organically.

Most couples end up doing a mix—and it works beautifully. You can get those stunning posed shots and the real, raw emotion in between. I will help you feel comfortable in both situations and we can chat a lot about style and ideas before the Wedding Day. You are welcome to visit the studio and I would love to listen about your ideas .
